Pontoons are the main thing you can rent on Hartwell. Most marinas don't post prices, so call. In summer, weekends and holidays book up and often carry multi-day minimums.
South-end marina on the South Carolina side with single and tandem kayaks and 11-foot inflatable paddleboards by the hour, half day or full day, plus 24-foot pontoons and a seasonal hydrobike. Campground on site. Prices aren't posted online; a credit card on file holds a reservation.
Just off I-85 at the state line. Rents 20- and 24-foot pontoons and a 22–23-foot tritoon from 1 hour to multiple days. In summer, Saturdays and holidays need a 2- or 3-day booking until 14 days out.

One 22-foot, 115-hp pontoon for up to 12 people, delivered to your rental or campsite, often by water (a fee may apply for distance). $450 a day with a 2-day minimum, $500 on holidays with a 3-day minimum, $250 refundable deposit, plus tax.
Pontoons by the day or week, delivered to you. Also stocks groceries for lake-house stays and runs guided trips and sunset cruises.
